Strap Kits
Are you making your own handplane but don't know what to do about the strap? Or have a strap, and aren't sure how to attach it? Relax! I figured all that out for you back in the 90's... I'm now selling DIY strap and plug kits! A full plug kit for $15, fully adjustable, ambidextrous and super comfortable strap for $20 and the full DIY kit (strap, plugs and hardware) for $35! The plugs are locally 3D printed by the good folks at Ideafab Labs. The strap is locally made here in Santa Cruz, CA from durable nylon webbing and can go on either way so it’s interchangeable for left or right handers. All stainless hardware is 316 Marine Grade. The plugs go into the foam before glassing and have been tested for years, and are guaranteed never to come out.
